Overview

The Audit Supervisor works side by side with the Distribution Management Team, and in conjunction with the Vendor Compliance Team, Customer Care, and parties across the organization to understand and ensure all customer compliance regulations are met through Distribution activities and EDI ASN verification. The Audit Supervisor is responsible for working independently on assigned projects and tasks in order to maintain an effective support structure for the Distribution Center in monitoring customer shipments to specific requirements and reducing overall compliance chargebacks through shipment verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain audit procedures to validate compliance within set standards including examining various distribution activities and reviewing daily tasks completed by various departments

• Develop and train an audit team to evaluate daily distribution processes as related to specific customer requirements
• Initiate and perform audits and investigations, provide training, feedback and activity tracking to all DC teams
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of customer requirements and apply those requirements to the daily distribution activities
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure compliance procedures are met and rectify non-compliance areas prior to shipping
• Develop strong working relationship with cross-functional departments, employees, and multiple levels within organization
• Challenge existing processes including suggesting more efficient or alternative methods to achieve objectives

• Identify unfavorable or non-compliant trends to building management, provide strategic recommendations on corrective action, and follow up to ensure agreed upon recommendations have been implemented
• Accomplishes compliant customer shipments through review of daily production, training and orienting associates, resolving operational obstacles, and identifying work process improvements

• Review audit findings with relationship to the internal cheat sheets and recommend necessary clarification of requirements and opportunities to strengthen our internal compliance process
• Participate in cross-departmental initiatives to support the further growth of the audit function. Participate in weekly Compliance meetings communicating audit progress, findings, recommendations, solutions, and reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
• 1-2 years of previous lead or supervisor experience
• 2 or more years’ experience in distribution compliance related matters including shipping, warehousing, and logistics.
• Advanced Windows based software skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (AS400 a plus)
• Sound comprehension of business practices
• Strong Interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and change directions quickly in a fast paced environment
• Some travel required
