Overview

Responsible for the coordination of all international shipments out of USA in compliance of Customs requirements and customers’ requirements.  Be a liaison between the warehouse and the international customer service representative by closely monitoring and advise updates of order progress in timely manner.  Be a liaison of Headquarter in Sparks by communicating to ensure the compliance of CBP and Export Control to protect the Company’s “privilege to import/export”.  Responsible of creation export documentation required by Customs/ customers of each countries and communication for the arrangement of transportation according to Incoterms.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor order progress in DC Director and daily production report.

 

  • Create export documentations of commercial invoice, packing list, SLI as well as VGM, COO if needed.

Follow up and create any other document requirement per Customs/customers of each country.

 

  • Provide routing request to customers/ their freight forwarders once the order is ready.

 

  • Communicate with customers/ their freight forwarders for the transportation booking and shipping.

Follow up any other requests after shipping.  Directing requests unrelated to shipping to appropriate departments.

 

  • Make sure physical shipments are matching with export documentation.

 

  • Prepare export documentation from Varsity for FedEx shipments.

 

  • Follow up and solve FedEx shipping issues.

 

  • Communicate with Headquarters in Sparks to ensure the company’s in compliance with CBP and

Export Control by the government.

 

  • Support Duty Drawback process by checking inbound PO number, country of origin as needed.

 

  • Continually bring to the attention of the Department Manager any suggestions on improving processes

and procedures along with potential cost savings.

 

  • Responsible for keeping accurate and organized archived files that meet or exceeds the

record keeping standards set by the CBP.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

 

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

 

  • Must be able to problem solve, multi-task and work independently with accuracy.

 

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, AS400.

 

  • Advanced in Microsoft excel – pre-employment test required

 

  • College graduate preferred.

 

  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish).

 

  • 2+ year’s previous experience in International Logistics, Importing/Exporting, Customs Compliance required.

 

  • Must be familiar to common shipping terms and matrix.
