  • Overview

    Responsible for managing the tax accounting staff and the tax research, planning, reporting, and compliance functions. Oversees the preparation of all tax filings and reporting in compliance with all required regulations.  May have a legal background in tax regulation.


    • Assumes day-to-day responsibility for tax compliance (e.g. filing returns and paying taxes in time).
    • Ensures Fila USA, Fila Online, Fila Retail and Fila Canada (if necessary) complies in a timely and accurate manner with local tax regulations.
    • Evaluates the tax implications of company activities and develops strategies to minimize the tax obligations.
    • Update HQ on new amendments in local tax laws which may have an effect on Fila group (e.g. TP documentation requirements in US).
    • Analyzes tax data to help minimize tax cost and comply with all present and future regulatory requirements.
    • Advises management on future changes to tax regulations and possible impact to the organization.
    • May manage and direct relationships with vendors and advisors.
    • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
    • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
    • May give input into developing the budget.
    • Communicates with tax authorities when required.
    • Actively engages in tax audit/assessments.
    • Works on annum UTPs (form FIN48) analysis and tax provisions for audit.
    • Provide timely and accurate responses to HQ for tax status, and prepares required formats in timely manner (e.g. CFC testing/PE status etc.).
    • Keeps abreast of international tax regulations; with particular emphasis on Korea.


    • Bachelor’s degree required. Master's Degree or MBA a plus
    • 5-10 years of related experience, with 3+ years of managerial experience.
    • Familiarity with international tax law
