  • Overview

    The Distribution Fulfillment Manager is responsible for directing the daily activities of the DC on a single shift, which includes the supervision and proper utilization of space, equipment and manpower. Key responsibilities include DC standard work, productivity, distribution of wave orders, management of order pickers, selectors, customer compliance, safety, accuracy, housekeeping, KPI’s.


    • Supervise processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operation & utilization of the facility.
    • Drive workflow in the DC, including receiving, put away, picking, shipping, and administrative activities to ensure objectives are met in an efficient manner.
    • Attend daily warehouse meetings and interact with line supervisors and senior management to ensure shift objectives are being met.
    • Direct the functions and personnel of a shift or function to achieve desired results per the daily operations plan.
    • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates.
    • Monitor approved labor standards to ensure a productive labor force.
    • Participate in the annual budget process to assure all expenses are covered and justified.
    • Ensures associates are trained/cross-trained and certified in operational specifics as well as high involvement skills.
    • Assists in the development of associates and working supervisors.
    • Assesses level of teams, identifies possible working supervisor candidates, and delegates well to stimulate growth.
    • Coaches to ensure learning.
    • Gives authority and autonomy to match team readiness; enjoys others success.
    • Works closely with the training group to ensure training is relevant and utilized effectively
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the outsourced direct-to-consumer fulfillment (e-commerce) and deliver KPIs within target
    • The operations will include support for customer service and other e-commerce oriented support operations
    • Set and maintain departmental service level goals; report key findings to senior management and other departments as necessary
    • Manage relationships with all operational vendors to achieve objectives and implement new business policies and projects in a timely and efficient manner
    • Management of overall fulfillment center operations including but not limited to cycle counts, quality control, product prep for 3Pl, reporting needs, inventory liquidations, sample pulls, and day-to-day operations
    • Ensure timely problem resolution to ensure efficient and effective fulfillment and return processes
    • Oversee case and unit, (footwear and apparel) sortation, packaging, labeling, and ticketing program (sourcing, ordering, replenishment, etc.)
    • Assist in the recruiting and development of Supervisors in Training.
    • Direct the DC safety program (forklift training, conveyor operation) for the assigned shift to ensure the safety of all team members within the work place.
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of operations management experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Broad knowledge of warehouse management systems, and automated pick systems.
    • Analytical skills to include planning, organizing, directing and controlling workflow and processes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Ability to lead and develop people with excellent communication skills.
    • Flexibility and willingness to direction required.
    • Team Oriented and be a motivated leader
    • Ability and willingness to work alternative shifts as required
