FILA North America is currently looking for an experienced Apparel Product Manager to work at its New York City location. The Apparel Product Manager will play a critical role with leading and developing the tennis apparel line.
Drive business and brand growth
Conduct market and trend research
Deliver presentations in front of both management and customers
Prepare SKU plan for a given season or project by doing market research which contains direction for design regarding silhouettes, fabric, detailing, color, target pricing, etc.
Participate in design reviews to help merchandise the product line.
Create tech packs with details, colorways, fabric and trim information; work with technical designer and apparel designers to complete.
Keep in constant contact with foreign and domestic manufacturers to follow up with all aspect of product via email, phone and fax. Initiate and follow up on all details related to products and special projects.
Approve fabrics and trims and organize all by season or project.
Approve lab dips and organize lab dip library for all categories handled.
Track all proto, revised, salesman and other samples according to the timeline needed. Organize and keep track of seasonal product sample lines.
Participate in fittings to review garment’s fit, details, fabrics, etc. in conjunction with the technical and apparel designers.
Implement changes and revisions to tech packs.
Create spreadsheets to order salesman samples and follow up with vendors.
Updates sales force, customer service, and purchasing departments on any sample or catalog changes.
Monitor inventory levels/buys/sales by style.
Attend and assist with sales meetings

Excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
Strong merchandizing and presentation skills
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four year college or University
5+ years-experience in tennis apparel
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point and Entourage
