  • Overview

    Under general direction of the Manager of Infrastructure, this person will be responsible for maintaining PC hardware/software, RF devices, scanners and AS/400 operations for equipment at the Brandon Woods facility. Will troubleshoot, monitor, and fix problems related to personal computers and their related peripherals; network; telephony and AS/400 systems. Responsible for daily processing on the AS/400, and all related warehouse system hardware, including the CORS and Varsity equipment. With vendor support, handles troubleshooting the “CORS” system utilizing Microsoft SQL Server database.


    • Monitor systems for problems; ensure that normal daily job processes, including back ups, are scheduled and run correctly in a timely manner; and provide support on Fila systems.
    • Troubleshoot and repair, disabled computer or related peripheral hardware in a timely manner to allow maximum productivity on the warehouse office and shipping floor.
    • Work with the Senior Director of the Distribution Center, and other Distribution Center managers to determine daily “hot” issues and I/T hardware related productivity issues. Work with the distribution team to successfully resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate all vendor support for the distribution center’s hardware, and for the CORS hardware and database when problems arise; and for normal system maintenance.
    • Maintain daily calls in tracking system and follow up on all unresolved issues until they are successfully resolved.
    • Apply AS/400 PDF’s, and schedule weekly IPL process.
    • Support client community by resolving questions/problems in a professional and timely manner.
    • Setup and configure AS/400, PC, telephony and network peripherals.
    • After hours support required as necessary.
    • All other duties as assigned.


    • Zebra printer knowledge is required.
    • Computer operations, help desk and AS/400 experience.
    • Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory administration experience.
    • Basic understanding of network protocols.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
    • Strong skills in communication and business principles required. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company.
    • Works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain cooperative and constructive working relationships
    • Can be depended upon to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work; can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments.

    • Associates degree (or employment experience equivalent) in Information Technology.
    • Required Prior Help Desk or computer operations experience of 2+ years.
    • Certified Computer technician preferred.
