The FILA brand was founded in 1911 in Italy with a bold vision and strong point of view inspired by its surroundings. Searching for a tennis/pickleball enthusiast/player with a Marketing and Communications career goal.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about sponsorships in the footwear and apparel industry.  Applying candidates should identify their knowledge/interest of tennis/pickleball in a cover letter or resume as this is an important aspect for this position.  The Fall term is September 15 to November 11, 2022.

 

Hybrid #LI-Hybrid -- FILA's hybrid model is 2 days remote (Monday and Friday) and 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at our Sparks, MD facility.  Candidates must be within a commutable distance to the office location.

 

 

Covid-19 Information

Successful applicants for employment with FILA USA must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the date of hire as a condition of employment, subject to requests for medical or religious accommodation.   Fully vaccinated means 14 days have elapsed since receiving the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or 14 days since receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or a vaccine that has been approved by WHO (AstraZeneca, etc.).

 

All new hires are required to provide proof of vaccination by their first day of employment.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the tennis team with junior tennis academy grassroots partnership activation
  • Liaise with FILA’s PR agency for the tennis social influencer program
  • Coordinate activities related to key product launches & events
  • Assist with tennis event marketing initiatives: BNP Paribas Open, US Nationals Pickleball, US Open, Western & Southern Open and other sporting events throughout the year
  • Actively assist with promo product orders
  • Assist with tennis athlete apparel and footwear product allocations

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) proficiency
  • Google Docs
